Lazaro Cueto NP

Lazaro Cueto grew up in Miami, Florida and earned his degree from Purdue University where he had the opportunity to rotate through various primary care clinics and specialty clinics which influenced his decision after seeing the shortage in healthcare professions.

 

In his spare time, Lazaro enjoys spending time with his family and pets. 

Dr. Ruben Alexander

Dr. Ruben G. Alexander, M.D. is board-certified in anesthesiology and the sub specialty of interventional pain management. He has been practicing in the Las Vegas area since 2017.

Dr. Alexander graduated as the valedictorian from Morehouse College with a perfect 4.0 GPA in the rigorous biology department. The next stop for Ruben was in Philadelphia. While in Philly, he attended the Ivy-League institution, The University of Pennsylvania. He completed medical school at Penn as a 21st Century Gamble Scholar extolling the virtues of scholarship and community involvement. He served as co-chair of Penn’s chapter of the Student National Medical Association and as a member of the Student Standards Committee. He had fun while in med school too by playing on the intranet-mural flag football team.

After Dr. Alexander completed medical school, he completed an internship in general surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In 2012, Dr. Alexander left Philadelphia and went to Brooklyn, NY for residency. While at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Dr. Alexander learned the art and science of anesthesiology. He completed residency in 2016 and was selected as a chief resident, serving as a distinguished leader in his final year.

The last step of Dr. Alexander’s formal training was completed in the field of pain management at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. His ACGME-accredited fellowship experience allowed him many opportunities for diagnosing and treating acute and chronic pain states. He became well versed in appropriate history-taking, examination skills, and interpretation of studies/imaging as part of the approach to dealing with pain.

Dr. Alexander brings his expertise in medical management and interventional skills in order to help patients dealing with acute and chronic pain states. He is revered by both peers and patients alike. He has earned awards and accolades such as induction into honor societies (Phi Beta Kappa at Morehouse and Alpha Omega Alpha at SUNY Downstate) and being named a Gamble 21st  Century Scholar and FOCUS Research Fellow at Penn. Dr. Alexander has been voted among the Top Doctors (MyVegas Magazine) and has served as a panelist for the 100 Black Men of America. Additionally, Dr. Alexander serves not only his local community but also serves abroad in medically underserved communities, sharing his knowledge and compassion to those in need.

Dr. Alexander hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and lives in the southwest Vegas area with his wife, Alisha, and two daughters, Sarai and Rylee. In his free time, he enjoys movies, fitness, photography, golf and movies.

Shellie Aparicio, NP

Shellie Aparicio, NP is a board- certified Nurse Practitioner. She believes in providing compassionate care to all her patients. In her free time, she loves spending outdoor activities with her friend and family.

Arlyn Valencia

Dr. Arlyn Valencia is a Board Certified Neurologist with Fellowship Training in Stroke and Neurorehabilitation. She also has extensive experience in neurocritical care and advanced headache management. She is highly-regarded and respected by her colleagues and patients.

She graduated from the Neurology Residency Program as well as Fellowship Program in Stroke and Neurorehabilitation at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in Bronx, NY. She did her internal medicine internship at New York Medical College’s Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan, NY.

She served as an Associate Professor of Neurology for 8 years at University Of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM) in Reno, NV where she was the Medical Clerkship Director for Neurology. Her responsibility included teaching medical, psychiatry and Family Medicine resident and covering all the hospitals in Reno, NV including Veterans Administration Of Sierra Nevada System.

She also served as the Stroke Director of Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. During her term, Sunrise Hospital received the Gold Plus standard in stroke care. She then proceeded to provide acute stroke and neurocritical care in the major hospitals in Las Vegas Nevada.

David Tonkin

David Tonkin, MD, is a board-certified physician and the medical director of interventional pain at Elite Pain Management and Recovery Centers in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Osage Beach and Springfield, Missouri. As a pain management and anesthesia specialist, Dr. Tonkin is an expert in interventional pain techniques.

Dr. Tonkin graduated from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, before earning his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School in Coral Gables, Florida, in 2000. He completed postgraduate training at West Virginia University in Morgantown, the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Temple University Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, and Wayne State University and Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.

After finishing his training, Dr. Tonkin was a practicing anesthesiologist for several years before completing an accredited interventional pain fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. With a strong background in anesthesiology and interventional pain management, he is a national opioid epidemic educator and well-known speaker on the issue.

From epidural injections and nerve blocks to holistic medicine and opioid addiction treatments, Dr. Tonkin can treat a number of pain-related conditions.

Brian Le

Brian Le, D.O. received his medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After completing the clinical internship in New Jersey, he completed his Residency in Anesthesiology and a Fellowship in Pain.

After completing the clinical internship in New Jersey, he completed his Residency in Anesthesiology and a Fellowship in Pain Management at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He received the prestigious “outstanding graduating resident of the year award” from the University of Maryland Medical Center.At the University of Maryland Medical Center, he worked with Dr. Joel Kent and Dr.Thelma Wright. He received extensive training in the latest interventional pain management techniques and became proficient in chronic pain management.

Dr. Le adheres to the philosophy of patient safety and his highest priority is to deliver the appropriate and adequate medical care to the patient by applying the latest techniques and knowledge. He is a strong proponent of a multidisciplinary approach pain management and is dedicated to providing the best and most effective treatment plan for his patients.

Dr. Le is an active member of several medical societies. He also participates regularly in pain management research. Dr. Le is a “Health Tap” award winner and is recognized as a premier physician in the pain management field. Dr. Le serves as the Clinical Adjunct Professor of Pain Management/Anesthesiology for Touro University of Nevada’s College of Osteopathic Medicine
